Watercolorlandia is a refuge of spirit and dreams that saved my life.

It was born when my best friend died while I was sitting on the tarmac, waiting to take off from a San Francisco tech conference that at the time, seemed important. My phone rang, and the first words out of my mouth were, “Did Marc die?”.

The wheels lifted up and we took off, and in a split second, my life stopped mattering to me.

Painting was the last thing I could do. It was a world between here and there. And so I’ve painted every day for several years, to have a reason to stay here. Then, friends and family started asking for prints, collectors wanted originals, a gallery asked me for a show, and people wanted commissions.

I never know what I am painting until it is finished. I do not control my art, I am it’s shepherd. It is for me to simply accept my flock. My art is not for me, or about me, or of this earth.

If you would like one of my pieces, and cannot afford my prices, I am happy to sell it to you at a price you can afford - please email me at Molly@watercolorlandia.com. I take accept commissions selectively - the best ones come from something that matters a lot to you.

20% of proceeds are donated to buy Service Dogs for individuals battling suicidality. Check out Service Dogs Saving Lives for more info. I wouldn’t have made it without my dog, and not everyone is as fortunate as I am.

Love,

Molly
